A man will appear in court on Monday in connection with an alleged attack on Celtic and Scotland star Scott Brown. Brown, 24, was on a night out with friends in Edinburgh on Saturday when it is alleged he was caught up in a brawl involving another group. A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday. Former Hibernian midfielder Brown, who has missed recent games due to an ankle injury, is believed to have been hit on the head during the late-night incident on Bread Street, near Lothian Road. It is understood he refused medical treatment. A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Police said: "A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is due to appear in court today."
